    1. [S934] AA: Conclusion - Name - Relationship, (Date posted to database 17 Jan 2019).
In my search for the parents of Casper/Gasper Shrout I have not found any primary documentation for the parents.

In Hardy County, Virginia there is a court case that has the following statement: On p397 Peter Shrout is on record for paying Casper and Rebecca Shrout as witnesses against William Tucker. (Court Records, hardy County, Virginia page 397.)

At the current date (Date posted to database 4 Apr 2019) I have not been able to find the actual court document and it is a primary part of my current research.

This court case list Casper Shrout and his wife Rebecca along with Peter Shrout. Casper and his wife Rebecca would move to Kentucky soon after this court case. We can link Casper to a wife Rebecca using this court case along with a property settlement in Kentucky (Assigned to Rebecca Shrout widow of Casper Shrout deceased her dower rights.)

This links the Casper Shrout in Bath County, Kentucky to the Casper Shrout in Hardy County, Virginia.

We then are left with having to hope that Peter Shrout is his father be cause of the location and association. Not the best but for now all we have.

Based on my current research (21 January 2019) if have come to the following conclusion.

Casper/Gasper Shrout is the son of Peter Shrout and Anna Clara Feuerbach

    21. [S996] AA: Conclusion - Death, (Date posted to database 21 Jan 2019).
The death is being calculated based on the following information:

      1. Gasper paid taxes in Bath County, Kentucky in 1812. His wife, Rebecca, paid the taxes for the same property 1813.

      2. His children and wife are settling his estate on the 14th September 1812. This would indicate that Gasper was already deceased by this date.

This information indicates that he was living in mid 1812 when he paid taxes but had died sometime before the 14th of September 1812. So is guess that he died sometime just before the 14th of September 1812.

The place of death is based on where he was living.

In my research I have not found any primary document for the marriage between Casper Shrout and Rebecca. I have also not found any primary document that gives the maiden name of Rebecca.

In the court case mentioned in the conclusion for the parents of Casper it mentions Rebecca as his wife. In the settlement of Casper's will it mentions his wife as Rebecca.

The marriage date of about 1789 is based on the marriage about 1 year prior to their first child's date of birth. This is even a problem as the birth of their first child is just a guess.

Based on the above information I have concluded that Casper's wife is Rebecca, with no maiden name, and they were married about 1789.
