    • Enlistment Civil War Union Army during Civil War. Company M of the 7th Regiment of Kentucky Cvalry Volunteers serving under Col. J.K. Faulkner. While engaged at the Battle of Big Hill, anddriving a team of horses August 23, 1862, pulling a wagon of supplies, he was thrown off and ran over by the wagon, crushing his hips. He was sent home without hospital care and listedwonded. This injury caused him to be crippled for the rest of his life. He was not officially discharged until July 10, 1865. He rose to the office of Sergeant. (Page 114 Early Mormons ofBath County)
