Alexander Wells was born in Bath Co. on Sept. 22 ,1814, and died last Friday Jun 19,1896 of old age at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Felix Clark, near Olympia and was buried at the George Jackson grave yard Saturday. He was the seventh and youngest son of his fathers family which included : Edward, James,Thomas, Whis, Benjamin, Joseph, and Mrs. Samuel Hart. "Uncle Pete "as he was called was married Nov. 8, 1836 to a sister of Sam Goodan near Owingsville. She died several year ago. Four children survived: Mrs. Felix Clark, Mrs John Clark of Owingsville, Mrs George Clark of Flat Creek, and John Wells of Texas.

The condition of this obligation is that whereas a marriage is shortly intended to be solemnized between the above bound Benjamin Wells & Susannah Waddle. Now if there is no lawful cause to obstruct the said marriage, then this obligation shall be void or else in full force. Signed Benjamin Wells and James Waddle
