    • Deed He owned land in Buckingham Co, VA from at least 1797 to 1842. In 1797 he acquired 128 acres from Ballowe. In 1803 he acquired 78 acres from Ballowe. In 1813/1814 his residence was stated to be 8 miles northwest of the courthouse, adjacent to Yancy. In 1830 he acquired 102 1/2 acres on Sycamore Creek, 12 miles northwest of the courthouse, from William Hundley's estate.In 1825 he sold 200 acres to Henry Rakes. In 1836 he sold 80 acres, 10 miles northwest of the courthouse, to W. N. Patteson. In 1821 his residence was stated to be 13 miles northwest of the courthouse, adjacent to Charles Yancey's land. From 1843 to 1845 his land was carried on the records as his estate. In 1845 102 1/2 acres on Sycamore Creek, 12 miles northwest of the courthouse, passed to Benjamin Rakes. It should be noted that on Benjamin Rakes' land record it states that the land was on Irelands Creek.
